Mapping 2,000+ CDCP keywords across 152 Canadian cities for dental DSO autosuggest capture

The brief

Tooth Corner — Ontario dental DSO with 30+ locations across the province [client brief, 2026]. Active engagement (2026). Objective: own the long tail of CDCP-driven patient acquisition queries across Canada, with primary capture in Ontario.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) — federal coverage launched in phases through 2024 [Government of Canada]1 — created a new class of search intent overnight. Phrases like “dentists accepting CDCP near me” and “CDCP-covered dental services [city]” emerged as a wave of new queries with high commercial intent and almost no entrenched ranking competitors.

The mapping

Autosuggest scrape across the CDCP query universe × 152 Canadian cities produced approximately 2,000+ unique long-tail combinations [autocomplete scrape dataset, 2026]. Each maps to one of three intent classes:

  1. Eligibility / informational — owned by Government of Canada by default [Google SERP data, 2026]1
  2. Provider-finder — “dentists accepting CDCP [city]” — primary commercial intent
  3. Service-scoped — “CDCP-covered cleanings [city]” — high-conversion long tail

The architecture

Standard corporate-multisite-reconciliation methodology [Sterling Sky / Joy Hawkins]2:

  • One corporate site carrying schema-rich location pages for every clinic
  • One GBP per physical location with “Department of” relationships declared upward
  • City-scoped neighbourhood pages below each location
  • CDCP-specific landing pages at the corporate level, syndicated per location

The audit framework that scales

A 40-factor Map Pack audit framework [Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors, 2025]3 — augmented by a healthcare-DSO overlay — deployable across 130-client cohorts in batch.

Output per location: factor scorecard, competitor leaderboard, category visibility score, recovery roadmap, and dollar-quantified opportunity sizing.

Where this is going

Active engagement, in flight. Mapping done. Architectural recommendations written. Deployment phase next — 30+ locations.
